Singing performances at various places in the city: The HELLʻS ANGIE & HARTZ IV - CHOIR performs hits and evergreens with new socio-political lyrics.
“We do not debate, we sing.“
So runs the motto of the HELLʻS ANGIE & HARTZ IV - CHOIR. Inspired by Carl Hegemann (Volksbühne Berlin in 2000), PUPLIK.ORG founded this choir together with Jens Rosenthal, assembling musicians, visual artists, entrepreneurs, employees and unemployed people. The aim is to encourage passers-by to sing with them and regaining the public space vocally. The lyrics reflect the situation after the German Agenda 2010 and the German Election in 2005.
At irregular intervals the choir is singing against political incompetence, undermining citizenship, disenchantment with politics and the increasing desensitization of societyʻs concerns.
